On my last trip to Morocco in 2019 I scoured the flea market frequented by locals and rarely by tourists. I was told that I would have to dig to find the good stuff and indeed treasure was found in the form of a golden yellow and red rug (not this one). I didn’t know what type of rug it was or how old it was but I fell in love with it and flexed my negotiating skills with the help from fellow travelers staying in my riad. I took my unearthed treasures to a reputable Moroccan rug shop for help shipping and they were able to identify my find as a Vintage Taznakht, likely dyed with saffron and about 60 years old; and so began my love affair with these Taznakht rugs you’ll see in my shop frequently! So as you like it…or as I like it…here is Another Taznakht Treasure!
